December 20, 2019, marked a dramatic day for singer Bahati as his baby mama Yvette Obura took their daughter Mueni to Mombasa for her fourth birthday celebration without his consent.
Bahati expressed his discontent through a series of heated messages, warning Yvette not to provoke him further.
‘Where is Mueni? How can you be in Mombasa and it’s her birthday? There is no way you can take away my daughter to Joho’s county and I do not know,’ Bahati said in a message.
Yvette responded by pointing out that she had texted Bahati but received no response, and that he had blocked her number.
‘I am in Mombasa and it’s her birthday? So what about it? I texted you and you did not reply? How can I call you when you have already blocked me?’ Yvette said.
Bahati then accused Yvette of being rude and not responding to his request to buy their daughter a dress for her birthday.
‘Do not shout at me that is being disrespectful. Look at your phone. I requested you to buy her a dress and you did not respond. You are being very rude. Look for a way to bring her back before then because I had planned for her birthday at 3:00 pm,’ Bahati said.
Yvette explained that she could not bring their daughter back on time as her SGR ticket was for two days later.
Bahati was furious, questioning how their daughter could travel to Mombasa by train.
‘Why did you make my daughter board a train? My daughter goes to Mombasa by flight,’ Bahati said.
