On December 19, 2019, a bizarre incident occurred in Miwani, Nyando, where a young man, later identified as Polo, visited his mother's home wearing a kaptula and miwani nyeusi.
According to eyewitnesses, Polo's mother was not pleased with his attire and questioned him, saying, "Huyu naye ni nani amekuja hapa akiwa amevalia hivi?"
Despite Polo's attempts to apologize and show respect, his mother remained unimpressed and told him to leave, saying, "Sitaki kukuona hapa. Unakujaje kuniona kama umevalia kaptula. Tabia za kwenu achia kwenu,"
As the situation escalated, Polo's mother became increasingly agitated, telling him to leave and take his kaptula with him.
It is reported that Polo eventually left the scene, but not before his mother had a few choice words for him, saying, "Nimesema rudi kwako haraka na uheshimu mama mkwe. Kama hukufunzwa jinsi ya kuvaa ukiwatembelea wakwe basi mimi sina muda huo, shika njia,"
The incident has left many wondering what prompted Polo to wear such an unusual outfit to visit his mother's home.
