Kenyan Student's Remarkable Journey: From 277 in KCPE to A- in KCSE

On Wednesday, Samson Gachie was declared the best improved student in the KCSE 2019 examination results, scoring an impressive A-.

His remarkable journey began four years ago when he scored 277 in his primary school exams. However, he has now achieved a significant improvement, making him the best improved student in the KCSE 2019 examination results.

According to his father, Isaac Gachie, the family never lost faith in their son's abilities despite his initial low score. 'Nyakiambi is a very small school and not known to produce good results, but this is a game changer and we are very happy,' Isaac Gachie said.

Samson Gachie aspires to be an automotive engineer and thanked his parents and teachers for motivating and supporting him throughout his academic journey.

Meanwhile, in Kirinyaga, celebrations were in top gear after Joseph Gakuru managed to get a C plus despite having scored 193 marks in primary school four years ago.

At Baricho Boys Secondary School, 322 students out of 375 will join university, with the school achieving a mean score of 8.8 in the KCSE 2019 exam results.
