December 18, 2019, marked a somber day for the Gor Mahia fraternity as news of the passing of one of its most ardent fans, Erastus Aduda, spread like wildfire.
According to a reliable source, Aduda had traveled to Kisumu earlier last week to attend to family matters but his phone went unanswered since Tuesday evening, raising eyebrows among his friends and relatives.
A postmortem was conducted on Wednesday, and the results are expected to be released soon.
The family will meet on Thursday afternoon to discuss burial arrangements and other plans.
The club and its supporters took to social media to mourn Aduda's death, with many expressing their shock and sadness at the loss of a devoted fan.
As the news of Aduda's passing spread, tributes poured in from across the country, with many remembering him as an amazing soul and a friend to many.
"It's with deepest sorrow and pain that we have this morning learnt about the passing on of one of our greatest supporters Mr. Erastus Aduda, an amazing soul and a friend to so many. Please keep his family in your prayers," Gor Mahia FC tweeted.
