December 19, 2019, marked a day of apologies for Moses Kuria, the Member of Parliament for Gatundu South, after he was called out for using a derogatory name to refer to Anne Waiguru, the wife of city lawyer Kamotho Waiganjo.

According to a WhatsApp screenshot shared by Kuria, Waiganjo had previously told him to leave his wife out of his drama, stating, 'Hon Moses Kuria. Stop abusing my wife. You can criticize her politics all you want but you will stop abusing my wife.'

However, Kuria had initially referred to Waiguru with a derogatory name, sparking outrage and prompting him to apologize.

On his social media platform, Kuria clarified that he was actually referring to NYS suspect Josephine Kabura, stating, 'Relax Wakili. I was referring to Kabura not Madam. Don't mix me up with King Kaka. Ni sori.'

It remains to be seen how this situation will unfold, but one thing is certain: Moses Kuria has apologized for his actions.
