Transparency International Kenya has announced the resignation of its Executive Director, Samuel Kimeu, who will leave the organization in January next year after nearly a decade of service.

Samuel Kimeu has been at the helm of TI-Kenya for nine and a half years, and his departure marks the end of an era for the organization. He will be replaced by Sheila Masinde, who has been working with TI-Kenya since 2009 in various capacities.

Sheila Masinde, who has served as the organization's programmes manager since 2014, has a long history with TI-Kenya, having previously worked as an advocacy and communications officer from 2009 to 2012. She later moved to the BBC Media Action, where she worked as a training communications manager from 2012 to 2014.

According to Bernadette Musundi, Chair of the TI-Kenya Board of Directors, the organization is committed to a smooth transition to ensure that TI-Kenya continues to play its role in the fight against corruption.

Samuel Kimeu will continue to serve the TI movement as a member of the TI International Board of Directors, a position he was elected to in 2017, until the end of his term in November 2020.
