AFC Leopards Star Paul Were Sentenced to Bench for Inexcusable Behavior ¶
Paul Were, a key player for AFC Leopards, has been benched by coach Andre Casa Mbungo due to his inexcusable behavior on the field.
Were, who signed a new contract with the club at the beginning of the season, has been struggling to find his form and has been absent from training sessions for an extended period.
According to sources, Were was given a chance to rehabilitate but he ignored the opportunity and failed to take responsibility for his actions.
As a result, Were has not been paid his salary and allowances, and the club is facing financial challenges.
AFC Leopards is currently ranked eighth in the Kenyan Premier League and is set to face Mathare United on December 22 at Mumias Stadium.
Were's behavior has been a major concern for the club, and coach Casa Mbungo has taken a firm stance by benching him.
Were's future with the club remains uncertain, and it remains to be seen whether he will be able to redeem himself and regain his place in the team.
