Radio Jambo Presenter Detained Over Unpaid Medical Bill

December 19, 2019, marked a challenging day for Diamond Okusimba, a well-known Kenyan radio journalist, as he found himself detained at the Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) due to an unpaid medical bill.

Okusimba, a popular presenter at Radio Jambo, had been admitted to the hospital for a month, battling chest complications, persistent headaches, and backaches. Despite showing significant improvement, he was unable to be discharged until the Sh1 million bill was cleared.

Friends and well-wishers have come to Okusimba's aid, with a message from the hospital's Finance and Administration manager, David Chibeka, confirming the need for financial support.
