Manchester City and Manchester United are set to clash in the League Cup semi-finals after both teams secured their places in the last four on Wednesday.
Manchester City, the two-time defending champions, edged past League One side Oxford United 3-1 at the Kassam Stadium, with Raheem Sterling scoring a second-half double.
Manchester United, meanwhile, ended the fairytale run of fourth-tier Colchester United with a 3-0 win at Old Trafford, with Marcus Rashford scoring a career-best 14th goal of the season.
Leicester City set up a semi-final meeting with Aston Villa after surviving a second-half fightback from Everton to win 4-2 on penalties after a 2-2 draw at Goodison Park.
Manchester City will have the chance to avenge their 2-1 Premier League defeat to Manchester United earlier this month when the two teams meet in the semi-finals over two legs in January.
"You always want to win trophies. We've got a nice little draw coming up, it'll be exciting times," said Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola praised his team's resilience, saying: "It was a tight game with the wind making things difficult but we did well. We suffered a lot in the second half. At 2-1 they play long balls with throw-ins, corners and we struggled but it's okay."
