On December 8, 2019, a devoted Gor Mahia fan, Erastus Aduda, went missing, sparking a search effort that would ultimately lead to a tragic discovery.

Eight days later, on December 16, 2019, Aduda's lifeless body was found at Chacalika Guest House in Kisumu, Kenya, according to police confirmation.

Aduda, a photographer and loyal K'Ogalo follower, had been reported missing on the night of December 8, and his body was discovered the following day.

According to a senior police officer at Kondele Police station, the incident was reported at the station on December 8, but news of Aduda's death only reached most club supporters and the media after the family was finally traced and notified of the death.

"I don't want to be quoted on the same, but the OCS is aware of the incident. Only that we were still tracing the next of kin to deliver the news, but the matter was reported on the same day he was found dead. December 8th," the officer said.

Aduda's death comes at a difficult time for Gor Mahia, which is struggling financially and facing the possibility of losing coach Steven Polack, who is set to leave for Christmas holidays.
