On December 19, 2019, Education Cabinet Secretary Prof. George Magoha released the results of the 2019 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams at the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) headquarters in Nairobi.

Out of 699,745 candidates who sat for the exams between November 4th and 27th, 627 scored grade A (plain), 5,796 scored A- (minus), and 125,746 attained C+ (plus), the minimum university entry grade.

Kenya High School emerged as the best performing school with 76 As, followed by Kapsabet Boys (49), Alliance Boys (48), Moi High School-Kabarak (30), Alliance Girls (27), Mary Hills Girls (25), Maseno School (23), Nairobi School (23), Mang'u High (23), and Moi Girls-Eldoret (21).

The top candidate was Buluma Tony of Kapsabet Boys' High School with 87.159 points, followed by Barasa Njeri of Kenya High School with 87.087 points, Abuge David of Kapsabet Boys' with 87.080 points, Anthony Owuor of Maseno School with 87.00 points, and Mathuri Natasha of the Kenya High School with 86.9610 points.

Candidates can check their results by sending an SMS of their 11-digit index number to code 20076.
