Kenya's top student in the 2019 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams has been announced, and the honor goes to Tony Buluma Wabuko from Kapsabet Boys High School in Nandi county.
According to the Education Cabinet Secretary Professor George Magoha, who released the results today, Tony scored a straight-A plain with 87.15 points, making him the country's top student.
Notably, Tony was among the top ten students in the 2018 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) exams, where he garnered 433 marks to become the 8th nationwide.
His school, Kapsabet Boys High School, also performed exceptionally well, coming second on the national performance scoreboard with a total of 49 straight As.
The top ten students in the 2019 KCSE exams are:
