The Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha released the 2019 Form Four national exam results on December 18, 2019, after meeting with President Uhuru Kenyatta at State House in Nairobi.

According to the results, a total of 697,222 candidates sat the examination, with 37,018 more candidates sitting the exam compared to the previous year.

Girls made up 341,440 of the candidates, while boys made up 355,782. A total of 1,309 candidates had their results cancelled.

Of the candidates who sat the exam, 125,746 scored C+, which is the minimum grade required to join university. There were also 1,499 special needs candidates who sat the exam.

Only 627 candidates scored A, while 5,796 scored A-. A total of 13,366 candidates scored B+, 24,478 scored B, and 35,340 scored B-.

Additionally, 46,139 candidates scored C+, 63,102 scored C, 83,358 scored C-, 101,687 scored D+, and 137,713 scored D. Finally, 152,339 candidates scored D-, and 29,318 scored E.
