On Wednesday, Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha released the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results, revealing that Kenya High School produced the highest number of Grade A's this year.
Kenya High School posted an impressive 76 A's, followed closely by Kapsabet Boys High School with 49 A's. Notably, the top candidate, Buluma Waluke Tonny, who scored an average of 87.159, hails from Kapsabet Boys High School.

Performance ¶
According to the Education Cabinet Secretary, the number of candidates who scored Grade A rose by 50% this year, from 315 in 2018 to 627 this year.
Conversely, the number of candidates who scored Grade A- rose by a huge margin, from 3,418 last year to 5,796 this year.
The number of candidates who scored C+ and above, the minimum qualification to university education, rose to 125,746 from 9,277 in 2018.
A total of 699,745 candidates sat this year's exam across 10,299 examination centers, with 51% of them being male and 49% female.
