Seneta James Orengo has responded to Rais Uhuru Kenyatta's comments on viongozi waliochaguliwa kuwa mawakili, saying there is no problem with viongozi representing their colleagues in court.

Speaking at the Jamhuri Disemba 12 celebrations, Rais Kenyatta said it was not fair for viongozi to be appointed and then used to prosecute other viongozi like governors.

However, Seneta Orengo said that viongozi who have been appointed to represent their colleagues in court have done nothing wrong.

"There are people within the Rais's office who are doing business with the banks and are in his office," Sen Orengo said.

He also said that contractors who are doing big business in the country are also in the Rais's office.

Sen Orengo said that he will continue to defend viongozi who have been appointed to represent their colleagues in court.

"The Rais's comments are like a member of parliament who went to a meeting to discuss how to deal with illicit liquor while he was still a drunkard," said activist David Ndii.
