Chelsea's January Transfer Plans: Lampard Eyes Six Attackers

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard is looking to add some unpredictability to his team's attack in the January transfer window, following a disappointing run of form in their last two matches.

According to a Metro UK report, Lampard has drawn up a six-man shortlist of attacking options that Chelsea can sign in January, with Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho and Crystal Palace's Wilfried Zaha topping the list.

Also on the list are Bayer Leverkusen's Leon Bailey, Villarreal's Samuel Chukwueze, and the highly-rated Timo Werner and Moussa Dembele, although their Champions League commitments may make it difficult for Chelsea to sign them.

Chelsea's tie with Bayern Munich in the Champions League last 16 has further informed Lampard's desire to bring in a new attacker, with the Blues' boss concerned by his side's lack of incisiveness upfront in their last two matches against Bournemouth and West Ham.

With Chelsea currently in a position to sign new players after a transfer imposed on them was cut to one window, Lampard is keen to bolster his attacking options to ease pressure on youngster Tammy Abraham.
