Education Cabinet Secretary Prof George Magoha released the 2019 KCSE examination results at Knec headquarters on Dennis Pritt road on December 18, 2019.
Buruma Tony from Kapsabet Boys High School emerged as the top Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) candidate after scoring an impressive 87.159 points.

- Ndathi Ellen Njoki - Kenya High School
- Siele Chelangat Irene - Moi Forces Lanet
- Laura Chelangat Ruto - St Brigid Kimilili
A total of 699,745 candidates sat for the 2019 KCSE examinations, which were conducted between November 4 and 27.
Markers in Laikipia, Starehe Girls Centre in Nairobi, and Machakos Girls High School initially threatened to stall the marking process due to poor pay, but the dispute was resolved by KNEC.
