Kenyan artists are making waves in the music industry, with several nominations for the 2020 Soundcity MVP Awards in Lagos, Nigeria.
According to the list unveiled on December 17, 2019, three Kenyan artists and one group will be contesting for the award.
Among the nominees are Khaligraph Jones, who will be representing Kenya in the Best Hip Hop category, and Otile Brown, who will be facing off against Tanzania's Rayvanny and Nandy in the Best Pop category.
Ethic Entertainment will be battling for the Best Duo award with five other teams, including two from South Africa.
Kenyan DJ Creme De la Creme is the only representative from the country in the African DJ category.
The awards will take place on January 11, 2020, at the Eko Convention Centre in Lagos, Nigeria.
Soundcity MVP Awards is an annual event presented by Soundcity TV, which recognizes and rewards musicians and performers across Africa.
The winners are chosen through an online voting process.
