On Tuesday night, detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) apprehended three individuals in possession of stolen clothing materials valued at over Sh2.5 million.
The arrest took place at Kikopey in Gilgil, Nakuru county, where the suspects were found en route from Uganda to Kenya.
According to the DCI, the three suspects – Samwel Munari, Peter Gitogo, and Indiris Mugweya, a Ugandan national – were in possession of equipment used to break into containers.
The DCI also seized a motor vehicle with registration number KAX 808 L, which the suspects were using at the time of their arrest.
Following a report of theft, officers from the DCI's Mombasa and SCPU Nairobi units jointly managed to apprehend the suspects.
