Women are being warned to secure their financial future before committing to a relationship, as a recent study has revealed that men are quick to move on after losing their wives.
According to a 2009 study published in the journal Cancer, a staggering 21% of husbands leave their wives after the wife is diagnosed with cancer, compared to just 3% of wives who leave their husbands when the husband is diagnosed with cancer.
Popular YouTuber Shera Seven has taken to social media to share her own experiences as a mortician, revealing the shocking truth about men's behavior after losing their partners.
'I used to work in a funeral home, and I saw firsthand how men would move on quickly after losing their wives,' she wrote. 'Men don't care; his wife is dead and he's already on to the next, ready for some action.'
She also shared a personal anecdote about a man who hit on her while his wife was in the hospital, and another who flirted with her at his wife's funeral reception.
Many women have come forward to share their own experiences of being hit on by men while their wives were ill or dying, with some even revealing that they had been cheated on by their partners while they were in the hospital.
'It's not fair that a man will take another woman out bowling or to a football game but will never take you anywhere ever,' wrote one woman. 'It's not fair he will send her flowers and never give you anything but lies.'
Others have shared their own stories of being cheated on by men who were still married, with one woman revealing that her best friend's husband had expressed his feelings for her while they stood at the foot of her gravesite just one week after she had passed away.
As the debate continues to rage, one thing is clear: women need to be aware of the risks of dating men who may not be committed to their relationships.
