Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru has found herself at the center of a controversy after openly supporting President Uhuru Kenyatta's renewed war against corrupt governors.

Waiguru's statement comes days after Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko was arrested in Voi and airlifted to Nairobi to face a Ksh 357 Million graft charge.

She stated that the arrest was within the law and that corrupt leaders should face the full force of the law.

However, Waiguru's own record on graft has raised eyebrows, particularly with regards to the looted NYS money that disappeared in thin air.

Netizens have called for her to be held accountable for the missing funds, with some even suggesting that she should be punished as an example to corrupt governors.

Waiguru has denied any wrongdoing and has maintained that she is against graft and corruption.

She has also threatened to sue rapper King Kaka for insinuating that she is corrupt in his hit song 'Wajinga Nyinyi.'

However, a host of senior lawyers have offered to represent King Kaka in court, free of charge.
