Published on December 17, 2019, the Kenya Meteorological Department has issued a seven-day weather forecast indicating a decrease in rainfall intensity across most parts of the country.
According to the forecast, rainfall has been reducing since the start of the month, with both day-time and night-time temperatures decreasing.
Acting Deputy Director Bernard Chanzu of the Kenya Meteorological Department stated, "Rainfall is expected to reduce over most parts of the country. However, on Saturday, December 21, rainfall is expected to spread to several places over Central, Southeast, Southwest, and Coastal areas."
The forecast also indicates that Turkana, West Pokot, Marsabit, Mandera, Wajir, Garissa, Isiolo, and Samburu counties will experience sunny intervals, while other regions will experience showers and thunderstorms.
The Coastal region is expected to experience morning and afternoon showers.
