Nairobi Woman Arrested for Fighting Over Husband ¶
On November 4, 2019, Sara Wamaitha Kuria and Mercy Waithegeri Murithi got into a physical altercation over a man in Nairobi's Sheikh Karume Street.
According to reports, Sara accused Mercy of trying to seduce her husband and interfere with their marriage, which led to the fight.
The two women were later arrested and charged with causing a disturbance and breaching the peace.
They were released on a KSh 30,000 bail each.
On December 17, 2019, the two women appeared in Makadara Law Courts, where they were charged with causing a disturbance and breaching the peace.
Sara was also charged with damaging Mercy's phone during the altercation.
According to the court records, Sara had gone to Mercy's shop and confronted her over her husband, despite being warned not to.
After the fight, both women reported the incident to the Kamkunji Police Station, where an investigation was launched.
However, the two women were later charged and released on bail.
