King Kaka Denies DCI Summon, Records Statement with Police

On December 17, 2019, King Kaka, a Kenyan rapper, appeared at the DCI headquarters after receiving a call from his manager, Dennis Njenga, informing him that he had been summoned.

However, upon arrival, King Kaka was told that the number used to summon him did not belong to the DCI, leading him to report the incident to the Muthaiga Police Station.

According to King Kaka, his manager received a call from one Onyancha at 10:41am, stating that either he come to them or they would come for him, claiming they knew his whereabouts.

The DCI later refuted reports of summoning King Kaka, stating that nobody from the agency had summoned him.

King Kaka has since recorded a statement with the police, with the Muthaiga Police Station issuing him with Occurrence Book (OB) number 42/17/12/19.

Meanwhile, Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru has threatened to take legal action against King Kaka, accusing him of defaming her using certain lyrics in the 'Wajinga Nyinyi' song.

"We wish to condemn strongly false information being peddled through social media to the effect that one Kennedy Ombima @RabbitTheKing has been summoned. Nobody from @DCI_Kenya has summoned him| @bonifacemwangi |@citizentvkenya https://t.co/aeEZ7JQEZS
