December 21st, 2019, marks a significant day for Xiaomi fans in Kenya as the brand's third Mi Home store is set to open at the Sarit Centre in Nairobi.
Located on the ground floor, right next to the Java coffee shop, the new store will offer a wide range of Xiaomi products, including the Xiaomi Redmi 6, 64GB variant, priced at Kshs 9,999, and the Xiaomi Mi 8, 64GB storage + 4GB RAM variant, priced at Kshs 27,999, coupled with a free Mi Band 3 wearable.
As part of the launch celebrations, Gree Chain International, the company behind the Mi Home stores, is offering a number of deals and discounts to fans of the brand. These include:
- Free Christmas hampers for the first 200 people to arrive at the venue
- Customized screen protectors and back covers sold for Kshs 9 to the first 100 people to register with their phones
- Hourly raffle draws at 11AM, 1PM, 3PM, 5PM, and 7PM, with prizes including phones, portable chargers, suitcases, and earphones
- A 10% discount on select products throughout the day
- Pre-ordering the Redmi Automatic Washing & Drying Machine 1A and/or the Xiaomi Water Purifier 1A will see customers pay a Kshs 1,000 reservation fee, with Kshs 5,000 slashed off the price on the launch day
