On December 17, 2019, Chap Dee Boys made history by winning the inaugural #KOT5Aside Mombasa Edition.
The team, known for their determination, braved the coastal heat to claim the top spot.
Chap Dee Boys' journey to the finals was marked by a 2-0 win over Samba FC, while Isco FC cruised to the finals with a 2-0 victory over Unfit FC.
Speaking after the tournament, founder Sir Alexas expressed his gratitude to the teams and corporate sponsors.
"The turnout was impressive despite the hot coastal weather, I would like to thank corporate companies for kitting all the teams as well as giving us the prize money for the winners," Sir Alexas said.
The KOT5Aside tournament, which brought together 16 teams from Twitter, was a testament to the power of social media in bringing people together for a common cause.
