December 17, 2019, marked a significant day in the search for a new manager at Arsenal, following the sacking of Unai Emery in November.

According to reports, senior Gunners players are opposed to the choice of Mikel Arteta, a former player and current assistant manager at Manchester City, as their next manager.

Arteta has been offered a sum of £5 million to succeed his countryman at the Emirates Stadium, but the club's stars are said to have reservations over his experience.

Instead, they prefer Carlo Ancelotti, a highly experienced Italian manager with a successful track record at clubs like Napoli, Juventus, AC Milan, and Real Madrid.

Ancelotti is currently in talks with the owner of Everton, Farhad Moshiri, to seal a deal to become the Toffees' new manager, following the departure of Marco Silva.

As Arsenal continues its search for a new manager, the club's stars are making it clear that they prefer Ancelotti over Arteta.
