Manchester United's 19-year-old midfielder Angel Gomes has been a subject of interest for top European clubs, including Barcelona and Juventus, as he is set to be out of contract at the end of the summer.
Despite being touted as one of the hottest prospects to emerge from United's academy, Gomes has found it difficult to break into the first team, making just four appearances for the Manchester outfit this season.
His recent Instagram activity has sparked speculation about his future at the club, as he has deleted a number of club-related posts, including any mention of the Red Devils from his bio.
As reported by Getty Images on December 17, 2019, Gomes enjoys a massive following of 800,000 followers on Instagram, and had posted regularly until his recent updates.
With just four of his eight remaining posts being club-related, it seems that Gomes is distancing himself from the club, leaving fans and pundits to wonder if he will be leaving Manchester United in the near future.
As Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has appeared to prefer other young players like Mason Greenwood, Tahith Chong, and Brandon Williams, Gomes may find it challenging to secure a regular spot in the first team.
