Manchester United's Luke Shaw has been making headlines for his generosity, particularly in the lead-up to Christmas. The 24-year-old defender has a tradition of treating the staff at the Carrington training ground to a special gift.

According to Daily Mail, Shaw purchased 50 Harrods gift baskets worth over KSh 30,000 each, a significant increase from last year's 30 hampers. The total cost of the gifts was approximately KSh 1.6 million.

Shaw's kindness has not gone unnoticed, with one of the beneficiaries describing the gesture as a 'nice touch.' An insider at the club praised Shaw's generosity, saying, 'Fair play, it's really good of him. He's done it a few years now and it's certainly gone down very well with everyone.'

Shaw's generosity is all the more impressive considering his recent contract renewal, which sees him earn £165,000 a week. The defender's kind gesture is a testament to his appreciation for the hard work of the staff at the Carrington training ground.
