On December 17, 2019, King Kaka found himself at the center of a controversy after being summoned by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) over his song 'Wajinga Nyinyi'.

The song, which has been making waves in the country, is said to showcase the ills in society, including corruption and abuse of power.

According to activist Boniface Mwangi, who shared the news on his Twitter account, King Kaka's friends, fellow artistes, and Kenyans of goodwill have joined him at the DCI Headquarters in Kiambu Road to show their support.

King Kaka's song 'Wajinga Nyinyi' has been at the center of a controversy after Governor Anne Waiguru threatened to sue him for mentioning her in the song.

Waiguru claims that the song is defamatory and that King Kaka is tarnishing her name.

However, King Kaka's team has maintained that the song is a reflection of the ills in society and that they will not apologize for speaking the truth.
