December 17, 2019, marked a significant milestone for Wasafi Media, but its journey to success was not without its challenges. In an interview with Bongo 5, Mkubwa Fella, one of the label's managers, revealed that Wasafi Media initially struggled to produce content, often hiring equipment from other stations.

However, with time and support from industry peers, Wasafi Media grew and eventually thrived. Fella expressed gratitude to those who helped the label during its formative years.

On a different note, Fella addressed the issue of Tanzanian media outlets failing to air Diamond's music, citing it as a warning to struggling stations. He emphasized that preventing someone from thriving, only for them to succeed anyway, is a waste of time.

Notably, Fella chose to move on from past conflicts with Clouds FM, stating that the label had long since put the issue behind them.
