On a difficult delivery and the challenges of balancing work and motherhood, Nairobi businesswoman and actress Bridget Achieng has spoken candidly about her experiences.

Speaking to Massawe Japanni, Bridget revealed that her labour and delivery were not easy, and she had to undergo a cesarean section.

She explained that she had a business that needed attention, and she was not stable enough to manage it on her own after Sekani's birth.

Additionally, her mother was unwell, and at one point, Bridget's milk supply disappeared, making it difficult for her to care for her newborn son.

With these challenges in mind, Bridget decided to hire four house helps to assist her with childcare and household duties.

When asked about the common perception that socialites rely on sponsors for financial support, Bridget clarified that her business is not in the public eye, and she does not receive regular sponsorships.

However, she does receive occasional financial support from friends living abroad and uses her own savings to fund her business ventures.

Bridget's business empire includes furnished apartments around Riara and a clothing line featuring designer garments.

She revealed that she has invested her own money in these ventures and would invest more if she had a steady source of funding.
