King Kaka can breathe a sigh of relief as seasoned lawyer Kipchumba Murkomen has offered to represent him in a potential court battle against Kirinyaga Governor Ann Waiguru.
On December 16th, Governor Waiguru shared a demand letter on her social media handles, threatening to sue King Kaka over a song he released, which she claimed contained insinuations about her.
The letter demanded that King Kaka delete the song from his social media handles and issue an apology within 48 hours, failing which she would take him to court.
However, many Kenyans have reacted angrily to the Governor's move, calling it a miscalculated one that would backfire.
Senator Murkomen, who is also the leader of the Majority in the Senate, has come to King Kaka's aid, offering to represent him for free.
“Do not be shaken by the empty threats of the corrupt Waiguru, I will stand with you in court,” Murkomen noted.
Many Kenyans are likely to laud Senator Murkomen for his courageous and bold move in offering legal counsel and representation to the besieged rapper.
