December 17, 2019, marked a special day for Zari's best friend, and Nigerian superstar Peter Okoye of Psquare made sure to wish her a happy birthday in a heartfelt video message.
As seen in the video shared by Zari, Peter expressed his gratitude for being able to make her friend's day, despite being in South Africa and back home in Nigeria, where he had to prioritize his family's needs.
'I hope I made your day Sheila, it's the least I could do. Can't buy you gifts this season because I need to spend on my family here in SA and back home +256,' Peter said in the video.
He added, 'Thank you @peterpsquare you still my MVP of all times, love you always?'
Notably, this gesture comes after a tumultuous past between Zari and Peter, with Diamond Platnumz accusing Zari of cheating on him with Peter of Psquare. However, Zari denied the claims, stating that she knew Peter before she met Diamond.
She clarified, 'I KNEW HIM BEFORE DIAMOND. MY MANAGER IS A MUSIC PROMOTER AND I MET HIM AND HIS BROTHER PAUL (PSQUARE) WAY BACK IN UGANDA THROUGH HIM. THAT WAS THE TIME I TOOK PHOTOS WITH HIM. I HAD MET PETER IN TANZANIA WAY BACK AND AGAIN THROUGH MY MANAGER. I HAVE NEVER SLEPT WITH HIM. HOW COMES ALL OF A SUDDEN ZARI IS CHEATING ON ME?'
