On a tour of Kampala, Tanzania's billionaire Mohammed Dewji made a promise to the Kilimanjaro Stars players: Tsh 100 million (approximately Sh5 million) if they win the Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup, which is ongoing in Uganda.
While speaking at the Monitor Thought Leaders Forum, Dewji also offered each player a Bajaj (boda boda) if they achieve this feat.
As the owner of Simba SC in Tanzania and with many of his players in the national team, Dewji emphasized that this promise is not about the club. Instead, he wants all the players to make money and start a business.
Kenya will face Eritrea in the first semi-final fixture at 1pm, while Tanzania will clash with hosts Uganda at 3:45pm for a place in the final.
