Published on December 17, 2019, Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru has threatened to sue Kenyan rapper King Kaka over his song 'Wajinga Nyinyi', which went viral after its release on Saturday.
Waiguru, through her lawyer Paul Kiragu Wathuta, has accused King Kaka of making allegations that have led to the gross misrepresentation of facts and deliberate mischaracterization of her conduct.
The song, which contains lyrics such as 'Ati Waiguru ako kwa office na story ya NYS tulishasahau, Biro moja alibuy 8 thao, biro tunanunuanga mbao Either sisi ndio wajinga ama ako na marking scheme ya Accau…', has been cited as evidence of King Kaka's malicious claims.
Waiguru has given King Kaka 48 hours to issue an apology to her, pull down the song from all social media platforms permanently, and commit in writing not to release any further defamatory songs against her, failure to which she will take a legal action against the musician.
