On December 14, 2019, King Kaka released a song called 'Wajinga Nyinyi' that has sparked controversy in Kenya. The song's lyrics have been accused of being defamatory by Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru.

Waiguru, through her lawyer Paul Kiragu Wathuta, has sent a demand letter to King Kaka, accusing him of making malicious and reckless statements about her in the song.

The governor claims that the song's lyrics imply that she is corrupt and was involved in the theft of public funds at the National Youth Service (NYS). She also alleges that the song suggests she irregularly purchased items at overpriced prices while at the helm of the Ministry of Devolution.

Waiguru wants King Kaka to apologize to her, pull down the song from all social media platforms permanently, and commit in writing not to release any further defamatory songs against her. She has given him 48 hours to comply with her demands.

If King Kaka fails to adhere to the conditions, Waiguru has threatened to head to court to seek injunctive orders restraining him from further distributing any defamatory lyrics against her, closure of his Twitter account, and to make him foot the costs of the suit.
