December 16, 2019, marked a significant day in the ongoing saga between Governor Anne Waiguru and rapper King Kaka. The governor, through her lawyers, had issued a 48-hour ultimatum to King Kaka to remove his song Wajinga Nyinyi from the airwaves and admit liability in writing.
However, Boniface Mwangi, a vocal activist, has come out in support of King Kaka, urging the public to stand with him against the governor's intimidation.
According to Mwangi, King Kaka's song is a bold statement that speaks truth to power, and he believes that the public should rally behind the artiste.
“Let's all tweet #IstandWithKingKaka and tag Waiguru so she knows WE SHALL NOT LET HER INTIMIDATE King Kaka!,” Mwangi tweeted.
When Wajinga Nyinyi was released on Saturday, Mwangi was among the prominent public figures who applauded King Kaka's courage and creativity.
“Wajinga Nyinyi by @RabbitTheKing. Moto sana. Amesema ukweli mtupu! Tazama. Skiza. Elewa. #KingKaka #WajingaNyinyi,” Mwangi tweeted.
