On December 16, 2019, a shocking incident occurred in Siaya, Kenya, where a police officer, Kevin Ndeda, allegedly took his wife's M-Pesa pin by force, leading to his disappearance with their two-year-old son.
According to reports, Ndeda, who is also a police officer, demanded his wife, Christabel Simbiri, a fellow police officer, to give him the M-Pesa pin, threatening her with a gun.
Simbiri reportedly called for assistance from her OCS, Joseph Juma, who arrived at the scene but was unable to persuade Ndeda to put down his gun. Juma then left, leaving Simbiri to face her husband alone.
When Ndeda's colleagues returned to try and disarm him, they found that he had already left with their two-year-old son, Andykins Ndeda.
The Siaya Police Station's OCS, Fridah Karegi, confirmed the incident, stating that efforts are being made to apprehend Ndeda.
"The process of arresting the officer is ongoing," Karegi said.
Enock Ndayala, a TUKO journalist, reported on the incident, highlighting the shocking turn of events.
