On December 15, 2019, Bandari FC secured a crucial win against Kisumu All-Stars, marking a turning point in their season. The team's midfielder, David King'atua, described the victory as 'a starting point' for their resurgence.

Speaking after the match, King'atua emphasized the importance of maintaining their pace in the second leg. 'It is a good starting point after bad results and we hope to start the second leg with the same pace,' he said.

Bandari FC's assistant coach, Nasoro Mwakoba, attributed the team's success to their collective effort. 'We put our heads together and the players assured that they will play their part as we do ours and the results are coming,' Mwakoba explained.

With 15 points from 13 matches, Bandari FC currently ranks 11th in the 17-team log. They will begin their second leg campaign with two home games against KCB and Nzoia Sugar on January 8 and 11, 2020.
