Published on December 16, 2019, Kenya's junior women's football team, the Starlets, secured a crucial 3-2 win over Burundi in the Cecafa Under 17 Women Challenge Cup, keeping their title chances alive.
Kenya's Anna Arusi scored a hat-trick in the first half, with Burundi's Mutoni Stephie and Lydia Karenzo scoring in the 5th and 46th minutes respectively.

Kenya currently sits third in the standings with 7 points from two wins, one draw, and a loss. Hosts Uganda top the standings with 10 points, two ahead of second-placed Tanzania.
The junior Starlets face an uphill task against Uganda in their last match on Tuesday, where they will be looking to win with at least a 10-goal margin to emerge champions.
