On December 14 and 15, 2019, the Betika Na Community football tournament was held in Kisii county, Kenya, where KK Combined FC (men's) and Gusii Starlets (ladies) teams emerged as overall winners.

The two teams received cash prizes of KSh 200,000 and KSh 100,000 respectively, and were awarded a Betika shop and a 5000-litre water tank to support their local community project.

Over 7,000 fans attended the tournament, which was graced by Governor James Ongwae. The event was part of a week-long initiative by Betika to promote grassroots football in the country.

As part of the initiative, participating teams were provided with football kits and balls to further their training. The program aims to invest in the youth by nurturing talent through sports, arts, and culture events.

According to Betika's Commercial Head, John Mbatiah, the company remains committed to investing in the community through the promotion of grassroots football.

"We are excited to witness the amazing levels of football talent in Kisii. We remain committed to investing in our community through the promotion of grassroots football in our country and are looking forward to similar tournaments in the remaining counties throughout 2020," said John Mbatiah.
