On Sunday, a tragic discovery was made in Landless area, Thika, Kiambu County, where a 30-year-old woman and her 11-year-old daughter were found dead in their home.
According to Thika Sub-county police commander Beatrice Kiraguri, the two bodies were discovered after neighbours reported that the woman was missing and a foul smell was emanating from her house.
Police officers broke into the house and found the two lifeless bodies, which had several stab wounds.
Further investigation led to the discovery of another body, believed to be that of the woman's husband, a few kilometres away from the scene.
The man's body was found hanging inside a house, and it is suspected that he committed suicide.
The bodies of the three were moved to General Kago Funeral home, and investigations into the incident have commenced.
