Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has defied a ban against setting foot in City Hall, stating that he doesn't need to physically be at the city hall to discharge his duties as governor.

According to Sonko, the ban won't make him fail the expectations of the Nairobians on him, and he has the interests of the residents at heart.

He emphasized that he has a firm leadership within the county, which is not shaken by the little storms that have hit him lately.

Despite the allegations against him, Sonko called for calmness and peace among the Nairobi residents, advocating for diplomatic approaches and not violence.

He also faulted the DPP's office for lack of integrity, saying he should ensure that leaders are treated equally and that no one is treated with any favour as far as the application of law is concerned.

Additionally, Sonko expressed his disappointment in the judiciary for following the orders of the DPP blindly, calling for the need for the courts to conduct investigations on a suspect before convicting them.
