Kenya Airways has announced the appointment of Allan Kilavuka as its interim Chief Executive Officer, effective January 1, 2020.
According to a statement released on December 16, 2019, Kilavuka, who is currently the CEO of Jambojet, will take over the reins of the national carrier in an acting capacity as the hunt for a permanent CEO continues.
Outgoing CEO Sebastian Mikosz had announced his intention to leave the position at the end of 2019, citing personal reasons, five months before the close of his three-year contract.
Sebastian Mikosz took over as CEO in 2017, succeeding Mbuvi Ngunze.
