On December 16, 2019, a heated incident unfolded at a University of Nairobi gig, where rapper Khaligraph Jones was performing.

According to Khaligraph, the DJ's actions, including scratching and playing siren sounds, disrupted his performance of the hit song Omollo.

"When you are on stage performing and the DJ starts scratching while dropping his name tag after every 5 seconds and playing those irritating siren sounds that keep throwing you off in the middle of your performance, Buda acha ujinga, the OG shall be respected #respecttheogs," Khaligraph posted on Instagram.

The incident sparked a strong reaction from Khaligraph's fans, who cheered him on and demanded that the DJ leave the decks.
