Brother Stabbed to Death in Kirinyaga County

On Sunday morning, a tragic incident unfolded in Mwiboni village, Gichugu Constituency, Kirinyaga County, where a 42-year-old man was stabbed to death by his 39-year-old brother.

The suspect, Anthony Muriithi, allegedly stabbed Mathew Njuki after their father, Martin Njine, 80, reported that Njuki had come home drunk and insulted his brother, stating he was unable to sire children.

According to police reports, Muriithi's anger was triggered by his brother's remarks, and he grabbed a kitchen knife, stabbing Njuki to death.

Police have launched a manhunt for Muriithi, who fled the scene immediately after the incident, while the body of the deceased was moved to Kibugi Funeral Home.

Gichugu OCPD Anthony Mbogo confirmed the incident, stating that a search for Muriithi was underway.
