On December 15, 2019, a gruesome discovery was made in Thika, where a woman and her daughter were found dead at their home.
According to Thika Sub-county police commander Beatrice Kiraguri, the bodies of the deceased persons, aged 30 and 11 years, were discovered after neighbours reported them missing, citing a foul smell coming from the house.
Further investigation revealed that the bodies had several stab wounds, leading police to suspect foul play.
Just a few kilometres away, another body was found - that of the woman's husband, who was discovered hanging from the roof of a house.
The deceased persons' bodies have since been moved to General Kago Funeral home as police probe the incident.
