Published on December 16, 2019
At 50, Sarah Karingi is a seasoned speaker, entrepreneur, and author of three motivational books. She is also the founder of Global Networks Investments, a company that offers mentorship sessions to young entrepreneurs.
Known as the 'queen of networking', Karingi has connected hundreds of young people and helped them get jobs, mentors, and create amazing ideas. She attributes her success to her ability to strengthen her networks after a devastating business loss in 2010.
Her business suffered a huge blow when her workshop was razed down by an arsonist, and she incurred millions in losses. However, she used this experience as an opportunity to learn the importance of networking and has since become a renowned expert in the field.
Karingi's journey to becoming the 'queen of networking' has not been without its challenges. She has had to overcome numerous obstacles, including being a young widow with dependents. However, she has managed to develop her negotiation skills and overcome the challenges.
Today, Karingi is focused on being free, healthy, and spending quality time with friends and meeting new people. She has received numerous accolades for her work, including the Africa Business Excellence Awards, the Africa Business Networker Award, and the ABTEI Entrepreneurship Award.
When asked what advice she would give to her younger self, Karingi urged her to be a good listener and a fast learner. She also advised her to be patient and associate only with those who have a positive attitude.
