On a pulsating Sunday in the Kenyan Premier League, Kakamega Homeboyz struck a stoppage time equalizer to force a 2-2 draw with Ulinzi Stars at the Afraha Stadium in Nakuru.

Ulinzi's midfielder John Njuguna will especially blame himself for squandering a late chance to put his side 3-1 up, wasting a rebound after he had done well to get into position to collect goalkeeper Gabriel Andika's spilled save.

That would have taken the game beyond the visitors who had another late effort from Thiong'o kept out by Jacktone Odhiambo with a stunning save.

Defender Festus Okiring produced an instinctive goal-line clearance that kept the game within Homeboyz' reach, hacking the ball away to safety after Njuguna had beaten Andika with a headed effort.

Other results from the weekend included Posta Rangers scoring twice in the closing six minutes to hold Kariobangi Sharks to a 3-3 stalemate, Western Stima continuing their KPL revival with a 3-1 win over Nzoia Sugar, and Enock Agwanda and Simon Munala firing KCB to a 2-1 victory over Wazito FC.

Match Results:

  • KCB FC 2-1 Wazito
  • Nzoia United 1-3 Western Stima FC
  • Ulinzi Stars 2-2 Kakamega Homeboyz
  • Kariobangi Sharks FC 3-3 Posta Rangers
